Numéris@nté (digital health project)

The Numéris@nté project develops educational programmes in schools, on the topics of balanced diet and promotion of exercise. It uses innovative digital tools adapted to the context of Wallis and Futuna, with the aim of reducing the prevalence of childhood obesity there.

Objective 1
Content

Improve knowledge among children ages 7 – 11 in schools on the islands of Wallis and Futuna and among their teachers and parents, on the topics of balanced diets and the need for regular exercise.

Objective 2
Content

Demonstrate the effectiveness of digital tools to convey prevention messages in the area of diet and exercise in schools in Wallis and Futuna.

The project involves setting up two classroom programmes :

  • For classes in years 2 and 3: Healthy Child, Promising Future
  • For classes in years 4 and 5: Beyond the Stars

These programmes have been developed especially for the Pacific region. They include many tools (workbook, storybook).
